About to fill another carboy with fresh cider and a different yeast this time, just to try it out. I used US-05 for the first two batches, this one I'm going to use Wyeast Sweet Mead Yeast.

Sounds good can't wait to drink more cider!

But what happened to Carl's Brown Nuts?
Some excerpts from my last brewday, a session American Pale:

I have almost everything I need for the brewery. Just need to purchase one more floor burner, then I'll start setting it up. Don't worry, you'll have Carls Brown Nuts Ale in your mouth soon enough. :p

Excellent I will be drinking the ale while Tommy actually has Carl's Brown Nuts in his mouth Tongue
Tom, I take it you fixed or made a new Immersion chiller?
Started making my control box tonite. Hopefully this weekend I can head over to HD and pick up some stuff to start making my brew stand.

Sorry about the delayed reply. My father in law is attempting to fix it. I have borrowed a fellow club members in the meanwhile...

My Cal Common, happily fermenting away.
Looks good Tom.

Switch on the left controls the Pump On/Off. Switch on the right is my 3 way valve that will divert the wort either through the heat exchanger or bypass it back to the mash.

The temp controller will sense the temp of the mash and will control the 3 way valve. If the mash temp needs to be raised the wort will be pulled from the grain bed by the pump and pushed through the heat exchanger in the HLT, then back to the mash. Once the mash is at temp the controller will close the valve, bypassing the heat exchanger, recirculating the wort through the grain bed throughout the mash.
