GOF Carlito Double Robusto 2006~
#1
Okay, so everyone already knows about these. It's not like I'm saying anything NEW, and I accept that.

I just want to say that if I won the lottery or something, I'd be smoking one of these every day. Ye gods and ancestors, what a CIGAR. Confusedhock:

I've had a few Don Carlos 'bustos, a few Carlito double 'bustos. They each have their good points, but the one thing that strikes me most is how, throughout the entire cigar, the one thought in the forefront of my mind the entire time is "Wow! What a great cigar!"

There's just such a wonderful richness to these things. Other cigars may impress with blasts of spice or intriguing flavor profiles, but I just don't think I've ever smoked anything with such a wonderful rich, full, satisfying impact. They're not over the top "oh my gawd smokes" . . . they're just dead on perfect smoking experiences. Flawless construction, razor sharp burn with never a single correction needed, and full tilt boogie rich and satisfying smoke. Wonderful.

I got a great deal on a sampler recently---five GOF and a Prometheus lighter for $99. Figure $50 for the lighter (it's kickass) and that works out to $10 a stick. If I could get them for that all the time, they're what I'd be smoking . . . but how many $50 lighters does a man need, anyway? [lol]

Now, if I could get 'em for that price WITHOUT the lighter . . . hooo, buddy.

That's about the same opinion I have of your avatar.  Whenever I see I think, "My God, what a GREAT avatar!"

Oh yeah, nice review too.  Wink  I've been on the fence about these, but looks like I'll have to try them out.

You should talk to bipolar Mr. Mum, he has a history of making "custom cigars".

Yes, next time I'm in Vegas (I have no idea at this point) I'll have to pick one up.  I want to know what all this fuss is about!  Big Grin

Ironically I almost pulled out one of these tonight to smoke.  Yes this is great.  To see Porigitty's face in Vegas when he fired one up.  And Mum, Marcelo, and I too enjoyed on at Casa Fuente.

Can you believe Robfather likes them too?  [lol]  Great review Boar.  Yes I saw that avatar and was really liking!

I personally like the Carlito a little better.  Especially the '05.  But the '06 GOF Don Carlos is an amazing cigar.  Either way you cannot go wrong.
