Best cigar lighter
#51
Sorry, I was delirious!

I have been and still am for different businesses.  I have done restaurants, and do automotive for myself now with a dealers license and parts and accessories for my friends and word of mouth.  I don’t push the parts and performance much anymore, but I still can get it, did ebay  and it sucked “they make all the $$”.  But I can’t hang anymore because of the back surgery in 04.  I want to open a smoke shop and am doing the footwork to get it started.  I am working on a prototype climate controlled  humidor that Don Salvatore may produce for me.  I do have accounts with them as well as Quality Imports, Orleans Group.  I  co-op with a shop in Tx. I hope if it all gets off the ground to buy direct.  I am trying REAL hard to find someone now with major computer skills to help me do a website.
.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.

i would be real careful about that method of filling. Seems to me that you may get some extra gas in there and that cant be good. One of my tricks is to fill it then purge the air out after filling. This equates to maybe a single cigar light (which I wont miss) and thelack of overpressure is good for the lighter.

With all due respect, that was the dupont fill instructions and I have done it for 30 years with awesome results and no failures. Anyone that can sell a lighter for over $5000.00 has my full attention and respect. LOL  I have had clear lighters or ones with windows, and when this method is used, there is NOT 1 air bubble in the tank = a complete and total fill. I carry a Xikar EX, smoke or light 11/2 packs of cigs a day "down to 1" and 2 to 3 cigars and it lasts over a month between fills. The biggest mistake people make is not purging the lighter empty before they fill it. Some of the better lighter companies use a higher pressure by design for the reason of pressure / longevity.  Dupont and Colibri are the highest and cleanest. I also use a product called Bruntane from Brunton, There fuel has 80% isobutane and 20% propane and is an incredibly HOT gas for a rapid ignition and hot flame ,and have used it for 5 years with awesome results. You might have of heard of their lighters, the Helios and firestorm.  With much respect, Terry

I find it hard to believe that a company selling such high-end lighters advocates putting them in a freezer and heating your fuel cans. Quite frankly I cant see 99% of their patrons even considering this...

I would not do this under any circumstances regardless who is advising it be done. It's just too complex for something that should take no more than 30 seconds once every 3 or 4 weeks. & the payback is maybe 1 or 2 more cigars to light?

lol.... I'll just refill it a day earlier.

I like my Betty Boop lighters. I buy them from Hong Kong for less then 10 cents and then put in the Zippo replacement.

Betty was way ahead of her time.

I also buy these lighters as throw aways. they work great, they are cheap and who cares if I lose them.

still my all time favorite hands down.  you just can't beat it for portability (cigar sized fits in an otter / travel-dor), holds an obscene amount of fuel, incredible flame control, very very hot (you can weld with it), and has a mondo pod factor.

many thanks again to skip for the hook-up.
