La Aurora Preferido

I am smoking the Sapphire right now.  This is my 2nd Sapphire and they both don't disappoint.  Now this has a different twang to it.   More on this in a sec.

Now if I were smoking this cigar blind.  I would swear it was a Cuban.  It has all the Cuban flavor characteristics.  But now to the twang.  It is good.  Nothing I have tasted in a Cuban but there are many Cubans I have not smoked.

But all in all!  Very Cuban-esk in flavor profile.  This is the closest non-Cuban that I have personally tasted that tasted like a Cuban.

I am a big fan of these cigars, only problem is the price.  They are expensive, especially the tubos.  But they are well made, tasty smokes.

And a billowing clouds of spicy smoke. I think the ruby tube is the strongest one.
.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.

Guys the ones sold in the box without the tubes are the same cigars and are a lot cheaper. I picked up a box last year on sale for $190 a box. Cool

This is just off memory, but I believe the price difference in the #2 in a tube vs. w/o a tube, based on MSRP, is $4 or $5.  That's the cost of those nice little colorful tubes (which one of my more eccentric customers makes interestingly effective saltwater fishing lures with....)

Glad you enjoyed the smoke.  they are good, I think my favorite is the Corojo, which is in a gold tube, if I remember the colors correctly.

I have 6 of each of the 5 and got them for under 8 @ cbid. Just be patient.  The best day to buy cbid is a big holiday when you know people are on the road. Moms day will be a good day also. I got a bunch last year under shop cost.

Yeah thanks again Robbie.  I love this line of cigars.  The Sapphire and the Emerald are my two favorites.   I am sitting on the gold tube but I think one of these weekends here I will fire her up.

I think the Emerald may be the best, but I wouldn't turn any of them down.  I too buy them without the tube.  I love the shape and construction.  Just a very impressive cigar.

It is a classic shape, very nostalgic. They were my favorite cigar when I started here on Stogie Chat, now I'm just confused.:?
