What's up fellas? My name is Phil (people call me Big Phil because I'm 6'7") and I started lurking around this forum a little over a month ago.
I've always enjoyed cigars but I have just recently decided that I'm going to make it a hobby of mine. So in typical Big Phil fashion (I always over do things. Bigger is better, right??), I went out and got this humidor: http://www.tampahumidor.com/sd4/product/faenza-1890.cfm and am currently seasoning it. Yeah, it's my first one ever but everything I've read said take the number you think you'll carry and triple it. So I did that and then added a little.
As far as my favorite cigars, I don't really have any yet. I'm basically buying different cigars every time I go to the local B&M and trying them out.
So far I've found out that I prefer at least a medium to full cigar, but I enjoy a lighter one every now and then just to mix things up.
To be honest, the cigar I've liked most so far is the Carlos Torano Reserva Selecta. Laugh if you will, and maybe my palate just isn't developed enough, but I enjoyed that cigar more than several Cubans I've smoked.
Well that's all for now. I'll probably post more on my humidor and seasoning method later.
Take 'er easy. And if so, take 'er twice.....
