KEEP THE COLD WEATHER COMING!!
#1
I want to scream from the rooftops.  I feel like Rocky!  As most of you know, I am in the gas business.  I bought 6 million gallons late February at $1.74 per gallon as we were worried the market would continue to sky rocket and I wanted to book my allocations.  Well, I was right and wrong!  The market continued to sky rocket...I looked like a genius!  Selling contract gas at $2.52 and crushing prior year margin and plan!  Well...until the market crashed and my inventory was MUCH higher than replacement.

We have all witnessed it....while everyone is happy at the falling prices, ol Dave here is stuck with a couple million gallons of $1.74 product!  OH NO!!  Anyway, when your replacement cost is $0.70, MORE THAN $1.00 less than what I gambled on in Feb...it might be time to look for another gig Wink

The only way I would recover is to have a COLD A$$ Winter!  Well, December WAS COLD and I finally exhasuted my high priced inventory!  WOOHOO!!  Costs have dropped out of the bottom but I have continued to push margins!  That means MO MONEY!!

Just finished reviewing my financials and January is setting up to be a record month for me!  Thank the Lord!  What a roller coaster!

Contray to everyone else, I hope it STAYS COLD UNTIL APRIL!!!

I wish you the best Dave, but only because I don't use gas, I've got a Heat Pump, and it has worked flawlessly.  It was 9 degrees this morning, my house was 70, and the emergency heater coils in my air handler never kicked on (I have a meter that tells me how much power they pulled and for how long)[bravo2].  Now my shop on the other hand, uses big natural gas furnace blowers, and they have been running ALL DAY, and it's only 60 in here, and when you open the big doors, it drops to about 52 in 2  minutes.

Hello from Tampa Bay, where it's 55 degrees right now. I might need some of your gas this summer, to fuel my generator if a hurricane hits!

It's an A/C unit, but in the winter time the reversing valve inside switches so the condenser becomes the evaporator and evaporator becomes the condenser, basically pulling any heat from the outside air and blowing it into the home.

If you wanna get warm

When you're down on the farm

 Propane

If you live in the sticks

And your income is fixed

 Propane

Its so high, its so high, its so high

Propane

When your grandma gets old

You can't let her get cold

Propane

When your cousin, she's hot

But your fingers are not

Propane

When your tank's out of gas

And you're freezing your ass

Propane

When you're sure that you're fucked

Here comes that big ol' truck

Propane

Its so high, its so high, its so high  Propane

.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.
