I met with the insurance adjuster. I'm optimistic but will hold judgement. They did say I did an excellent job in re-acting fast which saved them a lot of money and the adjuster said he would take that in consideration in providing me with a cost analysis in getting everything back together.

They are paying for a heating guy to run some duck work so the problem will not occur again / to prevent it from occurring. He also authorized a new carpet for the basement which I don't need and will not have to purchase. He put in a few other things and that will help with the $2,000 deductible.

It is just fortunate that you were there and able to act so quickly!  It surely could have been much worse!
