What goes best for you with a stick?

Hey all, skeege here again. You know, everybody has something they use to enrich the cigar experience. With some it's a certain type of drink, with others it's a certain food.

With me, it's Listerine. When I get ready for a stick, I like to clean my pallet thouroughly and take a good rinse with Orange Listerine. I usually carry a small flask of the stuff with me all the time, in the truck, on the tractor, in the back pocket of the old insulated coveralls. I take a couple of quick rinses during a stick. The taste of the stuff just sets my taste buds up for complete enjoyment of a good stick.

I would be interested in hearing about any rituals any of ya'll have to help intensify your smoking experience.

Sounds crazy but I love that orange Listerine!  I gulp probably 5-10 mouthfuls down per day so in many aspects I am doing the same thing.

But when smoking a cigar I love Ron Zacapa rum, Oban 14 scotch,  a good dark or red beer, Coke, or Rootbeer. 

Occasionally I will have a coffee with a cigar.

I'm going to have to pickup a bottle of that Ron Zacapa rum. I hear it mentioned all the time around here.

For me though, root beer, bourbon/scotch, or on the every now and again, port.

I like coke, and every once and awhile, I enjoy some gingerale....

Ron Z and Zaya go really well with cigars. Pepsi cola is nice with em too.

I usually enjoy a good bourbon like Four Roses or Bookers.  A good rum like Ron Zacapa, or a gin and tonic.  But, my favorite cigar accompaniement, a good book, or Stogie Chat.  Alot of times I'll sit under the gazebo and catch up on a book I've been reading, or catch up with the BOTL's on Stogie Chat.

Drink wise, i like coffee best, followed by some water and then maybe some soda of sort. 

I once had some Dogfish Head 60 min with a cigar (forget which one) and it didnt do much for me. Although the flavors did not clash, I prefered the cigar separate from the awesome-ness of the beer IMHO.
