The magic of the opus is the wrapper. Never before has there been a dominican wrapper. It took years of research and development to get it right and it turned out to be a gem. This is the Opus X. Lots went into the design of the band and name as well.
Since then there are, I believe, 2 or 3 other cigars with dominican wrappers. But it still remains rare and darn good.
My take on the cigar, it is great. There are cigars out there that are cheaper, there are cigars out there that are stronger, there are cigars out there that I may even say, from time to time, that are better. But the Opus will ALWAYS have a place in my humidor.

definitely one of the coolest bands on the market. i can't find them very often, as my local b & m gets them in about twice a year, and usually it's just a box, but i usually pick one up whenever they get one. call it my bi-annual opus event. they're good. out of my price range to smoke everyday, but bi-annually i splurge.

Ha ha! I dont have an opus box. I almost scored one at the local B&M, but they stick them in the window to make it look like they have scores and scores of opus and anejo

Hands down dopest dope i ever smoked... This is like if that Blue Oyster shit met that African Kush I had - and they had a baby. And then, meanwhile, that crazy Northern Light stuff I had and the Super Red Espresso Snowflake met and had a baby. And by some miracle, those two babies met and fucked - this would the shit that they birthed.
No really the cigars is great i love them just wish they were cheaper

I'm with Chris. I love them, and wish I had more sizes available to me locally. I did just pick up the Holiday tin 3 pack of the Perfexion's, other than those, and the same tin in the Robusto, that's the only size I've found available. Price wasn't bad on the tins either, Online, I saw them going for 99.95, I got mine for 54.95. [bravo2]

+1
My meager opus collection...
(Hey Tank, how many boxes are you up to now?
