The clouds gave way and out popped the sun. Time to grab one of these Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure # 2's that arrived yesterday, a Newcastle Ale, and enjoy life's pleasures. Screw waiting for 30+ days. Life is short.
Pre-lit aroma was nice with maybe some kind of baking spice (nutmeg?) with that distinct Cuban smell. The draw seemed fine with a beautiful Colorado wrapper. These now have a second band, that is nice to look at, but rather annoying considering the length on this Robusto sized cigar.
Time to set fire to this thing! Nice and clean from the start with an enjoyable mild smoke with a touch of sweetness. It did not change much throughout, but very distant in the back was a little of that greeness. Box code was July 08. I already like these guys a lot, and I think they will get a lot better.
Highly recommend.
