I stay away from anything that has fuzz on/in the foot of the cigar. It's like toe jam...

quite frankly if it's an expensive stick or you just dont want to toss it, cut off a 1/4" and look to see if there are any signs of more mold. If not, smoke it. If it tastes like crap chuck it. If not enjoy it. Just dont put it in your humidor. Spores travel easily and you can infect much more of your stash and humidor.
DO NOT INHALE!! AND DO NOT DRAW WITHOUT LIGHTING IT!!! Also, if there is more sign of mold, throw it out! Is it's riddled with the stuff it will taste like a camels azz!

Yep, that's mold for sure. Don't smoke it, dude. Don't shop there anymore.

I've been in a few small, local shops that had extensive mold on their stock. Unbelievable to me, since they are supposedly tobacconists. And they will deny it, saying that it's plume.

Today, I only buy from Famous or CI online. I imagine they turn over their stock pretty quickly, and the cigars always arrive fresh and in good condition with great prices and free shipping!
