You know, they make an excellent "condiment tobacco" down in Louisiana called Perique. It's mighty strong & peppery, and usually only takes a couple percent to spice up a pipe tobak blend.

Ever had the stuff? If not, I may send you on an official assignment to obtain some for us here at StogieChat.

As a matter of fact I have, and it is mighty strong...

I've already put in a call to the only broker that still sells it here in LA, and am awaiting a call from him.  In the mean-time, I'll put the info I have on Perique up on the boards for everyone...

Awesome! I'd love to score some good Perique, direct from the source. You never know how long they're gonna keep making this stuff.

Let me know if you can get some, how much, and how much. Thanks! This will be very interesting.

Welcome, Scrooloose . . . I grew up in Lake Charles, myself.

'Course, that far south, we called people like Catdaddy from Shreveport damyankees (I think I was in high school before I realized that was two word, lol) and people from Alexandria . . . well, we took y'all on a case-by-case basis! Big Grin

But here? Here we're all BOTL!

How about that?  I'm a Greyhound from Welsh. I did some time in Natchitoches as well.  I've got a brother in Lake Chuck and one in Lafayette.  Lil brother went to ASH & Mandeville.  Parents still live in Jennings.  Tons of my classmates attended Ryan Street High.

Sorry folks, you sorta need to be from Louisiana to understand most of this.
