Punch Black Prince

Got my first taste of the punch black prince this evening.  After dinner, I headed out to my favorite pub and got ready to relax.

It's a nice looking corona.  Upon the first puff, I was greeted with a subtle, satisfying flavor.  It was tasty and delicate from beginning to end.  Don't exactly know what flavors I was picking up, but they certainly tasted good.

While the flavor was very nice, it was a bit light.  Every time I took a puff I kept hoping for a little bit more pow!  It never came, but it tasted great throughout.  If the punch-punch has the same flavor with a little bit more pop to it, I would be a real happy guy.  I'll have to grab some on my next purchase so that I can compare the two sticks.

Did have to do some touching up at about the half way point to keep this baby going.  This could be due to the fact that upon it's arival, it only sat in the humidor for about 24 hours.  I have one more left, if I can leave it in for a couple weeks I expect it to smoke fine.

Nothing to complain about with this smoke.  Nice taste, very pleasant.  Definitely worth grabbing some.  Don't think I would go for a whole box.  But, I'd like to keep several around.

Thanks for the review.....just heard of the "black prince" for the first time today while surfing the net.Strange....Headly and I were just talking about things like this.

I hate when ya want more pop to a perfectly good tasteing cigar but never get it.....its kind of frustrateing.Looking foward to trying this.....in the morning now since theres no pop.

Cigars are different for all of us for a lot of reasons. The black prince is what I would call the cousin or perhaps brother of the punch punch. imho, it is (was) certainly blended differently, and delivers a variation on what used to be a signature Cuban cigar id.   [cigar]

Nice review.  I also found them to be much lighter in body than the Punch Punch, but I seemed to enjoy them a lot better as well.  The Punch Punch has never been one of my favorites to begin with.
