Posting links
#1
http://shrinkthislink.com

http://www.tinyurl.com

Use either of these to turn one of those ridiculously long links that stretches the screen width to 5 screens wide and makes everyone scroll over to read all of the posts, into a very short link that fits in one screen width.

Example:
shrunklink.com?tpy

You're welcome.  Smile

Can this also be used to rename a link?

The link gets renamed, but you cannot choose the name yourself.  They're randomly generated.  Sorry. Sad

you can also use BB code too.

A long link like this:

http://www.biglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglink.com

can be put between the proper code and reduced to any words you want.

just type:

Code:
[url=http://www.biglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglink.com]any word(s) you want[/url]

to get this: any word(s) you want (mouse over it to see the larger link)

with this technique you can even make a picture be a link...

Code:
[url=http://www.biglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglinkbiglink.com][img]http://www.stogiechat.com/cigar-forum/images/avatars/35.jpg[/img][/url]

That is totally cool! Cool

I don't know how I am going to use it yet, but I have bookmarked it.

Great find.
