Do you think this is messed up?
#1
Ok, so while doing some cigar hunting, I found out that CI had some of the Journey To Chateau Fuente BBMF sets in stock for $95.00.  I saw that BBMF's are selling on eb@y for bewteen $80 and $120.  I decided to buy a few sets, and sell the BBMF, allowing me to keep the Lancero and the Chateau for, essentially, free.

Is that messed up for me to do?  Yes or No.

Now on to the next question.  CI had many of these in stock, in fact it didnt even say they were limited.  I bought 2, and then after thinking about it today when I went to buy more, they are showing as OUT OF STOCK.  I thought to myself thats funny, I cant imagine that they sold out in 1 day.  Then when I glanced at Cbid, I saw that they have all their BBMF's up for auction!!!!  The bids are over $100 already now.

Is that messed up for them to do?  Yes or No.   Or am I just upset that when I ordered them someone realized what they were sitting on and they decided to make some extra money on them knowing the bids would be much higher than the $95 price on the store side.

Man, I should have jumped on them earlier!!!  Smile

Keep in mind I havent decided to sell them yet.  I may just keep them all, so dont jump on me if you think I'm in the wrong here!!

I'd say, that from my own experience with them, it's typical....

You put them on ebay, and it is up to the bidders to pay however much they want to for them.  I don't think it is bad on your part...

I dont think so (supply and demand)

You may be providing an opportunity for someone to pick one up who might otherwise never have said opportunity.

Well Mason, lest put it this way I am not or will not judge anyone for what they do.  But I personally would not do it.  I look at it like this if I can help a fellow BOTL out on getting something they want for a great price I will and would hope they do the same for me.  I am not in this for profit but rather for enjoyment of the addiction.  Steps off Soap Box

See I tend to feel the same way now that I have thought about it.  I think its best for me to just keep the BBMF's anyway!
