Tatuaje Regional Releases
#11
It's been a while since we've posted here.  I was just poking around and saw this thread.  I've smoked the East Coast Tatuaje and the Cabaiguan Guapo (have not had a West Coast Tatuaje, yet).  The East Coast and the Guapo are somewhat similar.  To me, the Tatuaje is fairly intense throughout.  With the Guapo you get the great flavors, yet I though it was a little more smooth compared to the Tatuaje.  You might say the Guapo is the morning cigar and the Tatuaje is the after-dinner smoke.

On another note, Billy got back from the RTDA last week and said he spoke with Pete Johnson.  I can verify none of this information, but according to Billy there's going to be a Tatuaje Havana VI Verocu East/West Sampler.  I guess Pete told him the sampler should include two of the East and West Coast cigars and one Mississippi.  It sounds like the Mississippi will be a Lancero size.  When/if I get any kind of information from Tatuaje I'll post it on our "What's New" page.

All in all, I have to agree with discdog; the Guapos are an awesome smoke.

Just got my cab of the West Coast from Mark today, damn that was fast, ordered yesterday afternoon and got it this morning.  They look and smell great.  So now I have both East and West and will smoke one of each this weekend to see what the difference is. Tongue

I'll do my best for you.  I usually don't write reviews, in my opinion everyones tastes are different so what I like you might not.  I think that is the biggest reason I never post my reviews.  But for this I will make an exception TongueBig Grin

Thanks PO.  You could possibly convince me to save a lot of money on these - which of course I would blow on something else.

Damn, another great person I didn't get to meet. Well, maybe next year Billy.

The difference between the East and the West is the type of ligero used. Sorry, I don't remember which one has what in it, but they are basically the Series VI each having a different type of ligero added. The Mississippi is supposed to be a lancero with both ligeros added, which would make it interesting. To me, after smoking both, I don't see enough difference between the standard production and the special editions. The El Guapo on the other hand, is considerably different. I do not typically like the Cabiuguan, but I do like the EG.

Did Billy get to try the mysterious "Black Label"?
