Can you help me find my perfect cigar?

Which Padron?  The PAM Principe's were the first cigars I ever liked, along with the Hemingway Signatures and Short Stories.  When I had my first regular series Padron, I thought it tasted like an ashtray and didn't have one again for at least another year.  Now they're my goto cigar.  Go figure.

Thanks for the great auction link!  Just purchased some Petrus Reposados for $9 (5 pack).

The Pedron I smoked was a regular series.  Awesome smoke.  It's hard for me to spend my money trying out other cigars now, but I just keep thinking that there might be something that I'd like even better out there!

How far are you from Memphis and do you get here often?

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.

Good luck with hunting on C-bid!! Big Grin

Just be careful & know what the regular price is & don't forget the cost of shipping.

If you watch some of the items up for auction, you'll see people getting into a bidding frenzy & way overbid the price.Confusedhock:

I'm about 3 hours from Memphis, and I think I've only been there two or three times.  It's been a while, although I'd love to check out Beale St. one weekend.

Yeah, I've been reading about people overbidding on items, so I've been price checking between several sites including shipping.

Just do your homework on 3 big sites and you will have a baseline. One of the easiest sites for me is http://www.famous-smoke.com/ it is laid out real well and have more info about cigars you could need. . Figure out how much you want to spend and I could fill a sampler for you. Unless you want to take a 3 hour drive one weekend and pick it out yourself. You are welcome in my home. Go here and you can dial in your criteria and come up with a bunch of info. http://www.famous-smoke.com/cigars/search/cigadvsrch.cfm?on=cigars

Oh, happy new year

Give me a shout if I can help you, T

BigB123 Wrote:Wow, I never imagined I'd get so many replies.  Thanks everybody for your help!  I'm headed to the local cigar shop tomorrow, so I'll pick up at least a couple of them.  I'll post again if I find one that I really enjoy.  A friend of mine also recommended that I try an Oliveras, a La Aurora Preferido, or a Baccarat.  What do you guys out there think about those 3 choices?

I can already tell tomorrow's going to be an expensive day!! .....

Don't worry about that.  There are plenty of excellent budget cigars out there.  How much you get out of a cigar depends more on how much you put into it than how much it costs.  Get to really know the flavors of the cigars in your range, and it will help you get more of the others later.
