For the record, I bought them in 1998, I have no idea when they were rolled. I guess I can look up the # from the Cuba label to get idea, if need.
Anyway, so back in 1998 I fell in love with the Montecristo # 2. Anyway, I just found a nearly sealed box in one of my humidors. I'm in the process of smoking one right now. In 16 + years, they've mellowed a bit, but still very tasty nonetheless. It has a nice steady woodsy/earthy taste that keeps going and going and going. The smoke is very smooth and has a creamy like taste. Not too much smoke and a pleasure to be in one's mouth. Although, back in the day, I remember them to be a bit more bold than it is currently. Highly recommend to all. It's brother, the H. Upmann # 2 is also delicious as well!!
