Kentucky fire cured and virginia Are usually used in pipe blends and cigarette tobacco(drum). This should be an interesting smoke.

I saw 3 empty boxes of the KFC's at Corona Thursday, they said they sold out quickly. Haven't tried the Herrerra's yet but hearing what Ryan said I may have to give one a try next week.

It is a good looking stick. A little toothy, a little mottled like most SA wrappers are. The prelight aroma is overwhelming...like making love to a hardwood bonfire.
The cold draw is very smokey, with a little pepper.
The first third I'm leaning toward not liking it. The woodsmoke flavor overpowers everything, even what I was drinking! There were some hints of black pepper. In true DE fashion, the thing produces a lot of smoke. The burn isn't perfect, but correcting itself pretty well.
Second third, the woodsmoke backed down and the pepper came in to balance. The retro was still very campfire, at this point I considered starting to like it. The burn is a little ragged, but not enough to correct.
Final third, it picked up a creaminess. Wood smoke faded to the background, pepper is now in balance with a little honey and light leather. Retrohale is smooth for the first time, and it's complex and very nice. I did have to correct the burn once. i let it go out at about the 3/4" mark. I'll smoke another one in a month to see how settle in.

In full disclosure, these only sat in my humi for two days and that is the only one I've had. Burn may improve and the wood smoke may mellow. Time will tell.
If I based a repeat purchase on the first half, I'd be reluctant. Best analogy: It's an Acid with woodsmoke instead of crazy hippy spices. It's like they dipped the thing in liquid smoke.
If I based a repeat purchase on the last half, I would likely buy again. It did balance out with some good complexity and the retro was a treat.

Don't keep them in your reg humi! That was per Drew estate...kind of like an acid I guess with the smoke flavor

I haven't had one yet, but the first thing I thought of when I read the description way back was a stogie with liquid smoke added.

Tried the KFC today. Easy lighting, burns nicely, and never had to relight. The cigar definitely has a "campfire" aroma about it but I didn't get that in taste. The taste was earthy. I would not put these in my humidor - just my preference. At $8+ per stick I won't buy another. It's not the money - I just don't see the value. Seems a bit gimmicky to me.
