My trip to the Dominican Republic: Part I
#11
Added to the list of awesome Doc. Thanks
.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.

Really, nothing I had seen before (8 factories in 4 countries) prepared me for visiting Davidoff. I have an even greater respect for the Davidoff company now! Unbelievable! But, I don't want to give away too much too soon. Cool

Thanks Doc,

With all that said I just fired up my first ever Davidoff.   A Geneve Limited Edition.  Thus far I REALLY like.

Again,  can't wait for your article.

Sounds like you had a great trip. I was there back in 06 for the AVO 80th birthday dinner and had the pleasure of meeting Jose Blanco and Guillermo Leon at their compund. I look forward to your article on the Davidoff and Fuente factories. Did you stay at the hotel with the casino attached to it?

Yes, I stayed at Hotel Gran Almirante with the Casino. Nice place, they really cater to the business crowd.

Santiago is a great place to visit. I'll be going back again in March.

Sorry Skip, I've never heard of Nestor Miranda. I know George Sosa, who is the Region II Sales Manager for Miami Cigars. Miami Cigars is the exclusive distributor of Aurora Cigars in the US.
