JoeBob Wrote:Here it is...there's 2 parts, the seasoning, and the sauce:

Neely's Seasoning:
1 cup paprika
3 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon onion powder Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl.

----------------------------

Neely's BBQ Sauce:
2 cups ketchup
1 cup water
6 tablespoons brown sugar
5 tablespoons white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard powder
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon light corn syrup Combine all of the sauce ingredients in a large saucepan or Dutch oven.
Over high heat, bring ingredients to a boil, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.
Once sauce comes to a boil, reduce temperature to low and simmer, uncovered, for at least 2 hours.

---------------------------

Now, for the pork chops they made on the show, they said to apply the seasoning, then marinate the chops in the sauce for at least 8 hours.
Welll I'm making this sauce tonight.....be sure to note the TEASPOON of those ingredients....not tablespoon. Whoops! Hehe its a *little* hard to swallow otherwise.

I have been to Rendezvous in Memphis.  I thought it was excellent.

Appetizer was grilled polish sausage sprinkled with dry rub and then dipped in their bbq sauce.  Then dry rubbed ribs, but I dipped mine as well.

How does Central and Interstate compare to Rendezvous??

You can get the Rendezvous dry mix at Samsclub now.
.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.

No one compares to Rendezvous ribs.  For pulled pork and awesome smoked wings, bologna sandwiches, etc...Central is the place.

Welll guys, to make up for my confusion of teaspoons and tablespoons, I went ahead and moved the contents of the saucepan into my big pot and added enough of the other ingredients to make it right.

The sauce is pretty good, but I see myself making a few changes next time.
