Your team won big yesterday Andy and so did the Jets. Those poor poor Pats. Don't we feel sorry for them?

Things are suddenly looking up for the Bills!

Man, what a great afternoon, sure I got soaked in all the rain at the stadium but - opening day was incredible! Before the game there was a sad and touching tribute to Bills Fan and Buffalonian Tim Russert. At the half, Kevin Everett walked on to the field that he was injured on at last year's opener and thanked the fans and community for their support of him and his family. The Bills played an excellent game. There was also another tribute to Russert was played on jumbo tron after the game ended and I celebrated the win with a RASS. As you can see - I enjoy the finer things in life. (The pic was posed - I was the dd yesterday)
I don't go into the political section here at all, but I really wish Russert was around for this election. I have no real party affiliation, and Russert, whose high school that he often spoke of is directly across the street from my office, was a true moderate and my guy. He was the best and would have been my write-in vote for President. I guess now I will have to write-in Roger Goodell. Back to football - Trent Edwards looked solid, as did Lynch, and the Defense was huge. But, as Mav Levy always said - 'Special Teams are 1/3 of the game.' If you didn't see Roscoe Parrish's punt return for a td, well, here you go: http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/recap?game_id=29531&displayPage=tab_recap Its a sad statement really, and Bluesman can attest to this, but a silly thing like a win by our football team means so much to this rust-belt town - everyone is so upbeat and happy here today. I do feel terrible about Tom Brady being injured. Seriously - and no he is not on my Fantasy Football Team. The guy is a great athlete and I really wanted to see if this Bills team had enough to beat Brady and the Pats this year. At the same time, seeing Favre being Favre for at least another year is awesome. So, after one week, the Mum, and the rest of those on the Bills Bandwagon are owed one stogie by yours truly. Hopefully I will owe you guys many more. Next week is a tough Jacksonville squad that lost yesterday and is missing some offensive linemen, including that young man that was shot a few weeks ago. Our prayers are with him. Enjoy the games. See you next week - and, as always - GO BILLS!

Jimmie, that would mean I am hoping for either a Bills loss or a Jets win. Can't do that. We could bet the games straight up . . . Go Bills!

We are 2 and 0 with the Oakland Ray-das coming to town this week.
Here is a video of my youngest brother and his friends taking their party wagon known as 'The Honey' to the season opener. 'The Honey' was acquired for two cases of LaBatts and a bottle of Jack. It is currently parked in fron of my home, drawing the ire of my neighbors. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qgl5fmfBesI Go Bills!
