5x50
Wrapper: Ecuador
Binder Dominican Republic
Filler: Dominican Republic
This cigar comes wrapped in a paper wrapper with the Devil's Weed logo all over it. a Nice tight wrapper with open ends allowing for breating. The cigar displays impeccable craftmanship. A nice tight roll, of supposedly 4 leaves inside the binder, with an outstanding wrapper.
The wrapper smells of straw with a very fain hint of cinamon. I used a 9mm punch on this cigar and took my first draw through it with no difficulty what so ever. The prelight draw had flavors of nutty cereal, leaving behind a very sharp spicy bite on the lips and tongue.
The cigar burns easy with an almost perfect burn I didn't have to touch it up what so ever. the smoke a light bluish white smoke that leaves a hint of a burly cut pipe tobacco, is very nutty and woodsy with a strong hint of roasted marshmellows, minus the sweetness. There is very little if any pepper what so ever in the cigar.
The burn line though not laser line is even leaving behind a dark gray ash mottled with black. The ash is not flaky, and will not easily fall off on it's own. This cigar is billed as a mild to medium bodied cigar. I tend to grade it more to the mild side, almost too mild for my personal liking.
Overall this is a good cigar for an average of 5.36 per stick, it is worth stocking a few to hand out to newbie smokers, I am sure the cigar flavors would improve with age but not the mildness, you just won't be able to put more body into something that never had it. If you are looking for a break from the heavier smokes this is it. I may stock a few just to hand out to friends, but for me I can surely find something with more of kick at that price range.
