LMAO!!! No, no, no generator. [lol]

Honestly, I know it seems exotic to folks up on the other end of the continent, and you've seen some pretty dramatic newsreel footage before, no doubt, but . . . a generator's just overkill.

I have a gas grill and fully charged flashlights, 4 frozen gallon jugs of water to convert my fridge to an ice chest if need be, and I'm getting all my laundry done ahead of time right now. We've had a much more direct hit since I moved here, about 8 years ago, and my power was only out 16 hours . . . and it was just MY power; I lived in a garage apt. back then and my line blew down.

Saw a guy loading TWO ginormous generators into the back of his truck this morning, though. Laughed till I cried, almost . . . what's he planning on doing? Making sure the television stays on? Is the other one for the blender, so they don't run outta margaritas in the middle of the storm? [lol]

It goes dark, I go to bed. Or step away from the 'puter and read by flashlight . . . maybe even under the covers, just to relive my childhood. Big Grin

We do get hit up here every once & awile...but I still remember an ice storm years ago...we lost heat & power for about 12 days!! We were lucky that we had a gas grill & a full tank of propane.
