MAXX
#1
Alec Bradley MAXX traditional. That's the dark one.

It seems that the "other" MAXX is the one that gets the attention. I got this one in a value pack online. I packed it along with me for 3 days and chose other cigars to smoke each time. I was expecting it to be a tough smoke both for the name and I thought I had read something about them being very strong.

I was surprised. It was a nice smoke. I'd say at most medium bodied but it did have a fair amount of complexity and wood leather murkiness to it. Burn was perfect. Draw was fine using a small keychain punch. I drank coffee with it on the ride home from work.  It was just down to about mid band in around 40 minutes. The cigar has goofy names for the sizes. "The freak", "the fixx" etc. so I don't know what one I smoked. Looked a bit bigger than the average robusto.

It passed the real test. I sat in the driveway smoking it for a few minutes before chucking it and going inside.

I have 3 more of these and now they amongst my "saved" cigars. I'll either hand them out to guests or smoke them at special times.

Solid 90 or better on my score.

Glad you enjoyed the cigar, regardless of which cigar its, simply driving home and enjoying one can really make your day.

The "traditional" comes in traditional sizes, with ring gauges smaller than 50....the original maxx comes in ring gauges larger than 50....and they have names like the fixx, the ego, the freak.....

the traditional has a different band..

With that said, did you smoke the traditional or the original?
Not only do I not know what's going on, I wouldn't know what to do about it if I did.

Ah I get it. I smoked the traditional. But since I got it in a value pack I wasn't sure of the size.

Around 50 ring prolly 6 inch or so.

Also try the medalist in the robusto size. They are very good as well. Alec seems to put out a nice decent product for the money. [bravo2]
