The Contenders 2023. Two Guys Cigars review
#21
well I have two left to smoke and had some real nice cigars. HVC and United I thought were both really good, but HVC almost was too strong to be a #1, i loved it, but i'm not sure it's for everyone. United cigars was very creamy and enjoyable, but didn't have enough kick for me. I think it would be great for first cigar of day or morning cigar or one to give to you buddy. For me the top three up to now are: West Tampa, Aganorsa Leaf and the Aging room. all in the medium to full range and none were one dimensional. Two left to go and should be done within the week or so.

Cigar #9

EP Carillo Allegiance Confidant
Had coffee with milk

First third had wood and some light pepper to start and black coffee stated to take center stage at end. 2nd Third started to develop some chocolate and some cedar. I got some puffs that reminded me of atomic fire balls, wild. Last third had a coffee and creamy mocha finish with a little cinnamon at the end. I smoked this to the nub. Started off pretty run of mill but at halfway point it really was tasty for me. Id give this a 6 in the strength category. Man, this has to be a contender but who will win. I have once cigar left.

Cigar #10

Drink was Willet bourbon

First third i had licorice with some leather and chocolate. Very surprised with this stick. Second third had coffee earth snd some vanilla in retrohale. Final third was some coffee and Carmel. There were some smokey notes and a little almond in the finish. This was really good cigar. The wrapper was a little bumpy and rough so didnt have high hopes for this, but was really nice cigar. I think this will be a contender. Im going to go through my notes and maybe post a top 3.

It'll be interesting to see the top 3, or top 5 even.

Ok i think i have my top 5, ill save for another day. I will however give a consultation prize to:

United Natural Toro.
I was very surprised by this cigar. Its probably a 4 or 5 in strength, but very creamy and enjoyable. I dont think its very expensive either.
