Well, with The Mum's thread out there, I thought I'd share as well.
Here is the link to my property schedule for selling my home in Elgin.
The market is just starting to pick up again in the area, but is slow to say the least and we have accepted the fact that we will not get what we paid for the property during the height of the housing market in the UK almost 7 years ago .... however, it is what it is, and like I said to the Mum, the pro's far out weigh the conns when we sit down and actually think about it.
The down side for me is that the market in Aberdeen is its own beast, and a good example of the difference in property prices in comparison to Elgin run is that the very same construction company are building the very same house models in Elgin ..... the difference in price is £95,000 though ............ seriously, it hurt when I saw that.
No point in moaning about it, I'll save about £6,000 per year on fuel costs alone, so its a win ...... in a roundabout way, and I'll be back with family (my parents are getting frail) and friends.
Here is the schedule link to my country retreat on the rural outskirt of Elgin in Scotland .... 10 minute walk from Glen Moray distillery and a max of 30 minutes drive from the rest of the Spey side distilleries.
