What I learned about lighters
#1
My lighter had been misfiring a lot lately, and I just happened to find this video in my daily browsing. I had no idea that a lighter should be blown out and drained periodically.
I followed the steps, and my xikar is burning perfectly.

Common scence! If you truly smoked Cigars and dealt with lighters you would already know this!

Im not sure it's common sense, but thanks for the video. There was also a great thread in 101 somewhere that went into some good detail as well.

halfflash,

Thanks for posting this. I have seen the Xikar one like this which is great! You should watch that one too.

One thing I did learn from the one you posted is if you have a window on your lighter you should check the level while holding the lighter "upside down". ... That I did "not" know.

Nice find. There are quite a few posts here about that.

.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.

There is so much good information on this forum that's already been posted. I love it when some one brings up an old post to reshare it.
