I grew it last year and it's the easiest thing I've ever grown. You can grow it in wood barrels or even 5 gal buckets. I just made a 6" high mound for drainage in a bed after the summer plants died. One clove gave me 12 plants.

Wow! I bet they are good. I have been to Gilroy, CA. , they even have garlic ice cream, which I hear is surprisingly good. I am curious to what garlic ice cream tastes like.

I didn't know either until I got my fall email from Scotts last year. You just put them in dirt and they grow, it's just that easy. After doing more research I had NO idea there were over 20 varieties. It's big business in Ca. Gilroy is nicknamed the Garlic Capital of the World.

Yep. Good ol Gilroy. I love when they have the garlic festival, people come from all over. Over 100,000 people each year.
