Took a few ideas from the internet and figured id do something slightly from the norm. Skipper uses floral foam, so why not some silica kitty litter. Ill take some more pictures when I'm done.

Put about an inch in each one and sprayed them till about half were clear.

Wife didn't have any glue sticks for her glue gun, so i just cut out the middle of my containers and I have a ton of screen from redoing porch a few years ago. I just trimed it to fit under lid and it holds it pretty well

Put boxes and containers in to humidify, boxes are pretty dry so this may take a while

I was tipped off to this stuff a couple years ago and have been using it as ballast in my cabinet humidor ever since. It's awesome stuff and works very well! Usually in the winter up here I struggle with humidity a bit (have to refill the tans about 3 times as fast as the summer) but that's been reduced dramatically since adding these crystals. I was so nervous about it I actually wet them and put them in an empty cooler for a week with 2 calibrated hygrometers just to test the performance and make sure there would be no smell! I'm a bit of a geek in that way.Tongue At any rate, it works great and I'd use it again in a heartbeat. Good luck with your project.

Sounds fun. Can't way to see more pictures.

And yes the idea of kitty litter and cigars scares me to no end.
Glad others are having success.
