homemade firestarters
#1
I have been making firestarters tonight. I saved all the sawdust from the firewood I cut up over the summer. Put it in an egg carton and pour melted wax over it. I buy candles at the dollar store and melt them on the wood stove. These are the best firestarters ever, and twelve of them cost a dollar. I just break off one egg and light it. It will get a good fire going in no time.

We did this in boyscouts... easy and effective! I keep a couple in my car with a little emergency winter kit.
