King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia - Women will be allowed to vote and run for office.
It's about damn time, I mean only 2011! I'm guessing if they live. Did I forget to mention they STILL Can't drive. My wife lived in Saudi with here first when he was in the military in the early 80s. She tells stories of the goats and other animals ridding in the front seat but the women ALWAYS rode in the back.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.

I know in Iraq it was a little more relaxed in '08, but NOT much. If a woman was driving, there had to be more than one, and there couldn't be a male in the vehicle unless it was her too young to drive son. Crazy Arabs.

Can we donate Gloria Steinem to the women of Saudi Arabia? Because over here, she's just a pain in the a$$ making all women look bad. Smile maybe we could send Hilary Clinton too, just for good measure Wink
