Homemade Cigar Punch
#1
Well, I have a few hundred empty shell casings lying around, and thought they would make good cigar punches. You can make them for small or large ring cigars and if you have the equipment to ream and file, they work fantastic. The only problem is, I don't have that equipment. Just wanted to let y'all know in case you wanted to make something kind of neat.

On that .223 all you should need is a gently tapered stone bit for a dremmel or die grinder and a vise. Brass would dull pretty quick, but if you kept up with it, and had a good story behind the casing itself...would be way worthwhile!

Thanks. Yeah, I have a deburrer tool but can't figure out how to smooth out the outer edges as well as get the inside tapered. I don't know, maybe it'll just take some time. I don't have a good story behind it except that all the casings came from a fun qual night in the military.

Try any hardware store with a plumbing section. They should have a deburring tool that will ream the inside and debur the outside ate the same time.
