Opus X Shark
#1
Thumbs Up
I was lucky enough to find a store with a box of these. I probably bought about 10 of them. I bought the last 4, so they even gave me the box! I haven't seen these anywhere else. The store had probably 12-15 boxes of Opus, so I'm guessing they are well taken care of by Fuente.

These cigars are excellent. This probably isn't a big shock to those of you that like the original versions of the Shark. I love the pyramide/box press design used for these cigars. It lights easily and stays lit.

The strength is relatively mild for an Opus X, nowhere near the #2, #5, or xXx. However it is strong on flavor. It has a very consistent leathery flavor throughout. It has a slight non-pepper spice towards the end of the exhale, with maybe even a hint of chocloate. I don't know what other Opus to compare it to, and I smoke alot of the more commonly sold Opus out there.

I think I paid $15.95 for mine. That is probably a very fair price in the market. I would imagine most stores would sell this cigar for quite a bit more.

I would give this cigar a numerical grade well into the 90s. There just isn't anything bad to say about it.Bowtotheking

These are high on the buy list!

I've had about 4 of these so far, mostly from the box/set releases but one from the '07 Opus 22 set. Fantastic cigar! I agree, not as strong as some of the other Opus X vitolas but very tasty and a flawless burn. Good review!
