I've had that happen a few times, esp with a punch. When ever it happens, I pull out my blade cutter and problem solved
Regardless...those are AMAZING cigars!

I find some Dominican tobaccos to be more susceptible to that problem. Had a very, very nasty instance of it with a Fuente years ago, so I generally don't punch Dominicans any more at all. On topic, Cordova got some of these in a few weeks back, maybe one box of each vitola. Gone in a day, just by people sharing word of mouth. Didn't get to try one myself
