Our encounter with the great Eli Manningâ¦
Background -- Tank noticed a while back that our very own BaileyCAO bears a pretty decent resemblance to Eli Manning.

We were all sitting up in an area of the Imperial Palace sportsbook that we found with a lot of chairs, big screens, etc. Of course it didnât hurt that there were drinks a few short feet awayâ¦
So we were there smoking up a storm and just talking when a couple of guys walked by our little area with their girlfriends. The guys said âLook those guys have cigarsâ. âTheyâre smoking cigarsâ, etc. They talked to us a little bit, and Jimmie immediately identified their accent and began talking to them. Turns out they were from Long Island, and after a bit of talk we ended up offering them cigars. They were really very thankful for the cigars, and the girls even wanted one to try.
So the girls sat down to smoke (okay⦠try to smoke)

One of the guys sat across from Bailey and we began to smoke, talk, etc. As I talked to Jimmie about his radar-like ability to identify people from his part of the country, Tank set a brilliant prank into motion.
He asked the guy if he recognized Bailey. The guy kind of looked, and Tank said âIâll give you a hint. He has a Super Bowl ringâ¦â
The guy kind of looked and squinted his eyes a bit⦠Tank then asked if he was familiar with the Manning family. I think the guy mentioned something about Peyton Manning, and Tank pointed at Bailey and said âThat is his younger brother, Eli Manning.â
The guy looked for about a second and his eyes widened and he had a shocked look on his face. He immediately asked to shake Baileyâs hand and sat down next to him and began talking about what a big fan he was, etc. It was HILARIOUS!!! He would not leave Bailey's side at all!
We were all laughing about it standing in a group a few feet away. This is when I decided to step in. I walked up to Bailey and said, âHey E., let me ask you something.â (I figured that âEâ might be a suitable nickname for Eli Manning⦠who knows⦠LOL) I told Bailey my plan briefly, and then went to Tommie (the fan). I told him that I was Eliâs Business Manager and handled all of his affairs. I offered to take a pic of him with Eli, and told him that I would have Eli sign it and mail it to him. Tommie could not believe his good fortune and happily accepted⦠this guy was freaking out.
I told him we were trying to keep a low profile because Eli got too much attention everywhere else, but we were making an exception for him because he was a true fan, and seemed like a good guy.

So we all kind of stand up and talking, and Tommie pulls me asideâ¦. He was telling me that he had a lot of marketing and business ideas that he would like to talk to me about. I told him that after I emailed him the picture, we could arrange a conference call with his people and my people and talk about business opportunities. He was so happy that he asked if I would be one of his business mentors and advise him on future opportunities. I was really trying hard not to laugh here⦠but of course was honored to accept!
I even had the chance to channel my âInner Marioâ⦠I was talking to him about a business concept, and I said that if he didnât have enough financial backing, âFuhgeddaboutit!â It was funny⦠and Jimmie said it sounded pretty goodâ¦. LOL
Then Tank came up and mentioned that he was handling all of Eliâs nutrition, and talked to Tommie about what he was using, etc.
This went on for quite some time with this guy. As things were winding down, Jimmie walked up to Tommie, pointed a finger at him, and said âListenâ¦. MUMâs the word on this, okay? Donât go telling anybody about this â and donât tell your girlfriends until you get back to your room.â Tommie just said âAbsolutelyâ without hesitating at all⦠It was at this time that Tommie turned a spilled a little bit of his drink and a few ice cubes on to the floor. I saw this and gave my best Paulie Walnuts âOOOhhhhhhhhhhhh!â
Too funny.
So we finally decided that we wanted to get rid of this guy and go back to our normal herfage⦠we were saying goodnight to him, and he asked if it was okay with me if he shook Eliâs hand one more time. I gave him my permission, and he walked over to Bailey and shook his hand goodbyeâ¦
I still canât believe how funny this shit was⦠I think it was beliveable to Tommie mainly because we were playing it really low-key â almost like we didnât even want to talk to him about it.
So, that was our brush with Eli Manningâ¦
We are going to cut and paste an autograph on there and email it to him from a dummy account and see what he has to say⦠I still laugh when I think about that!!!
That is why everyone has been calling Bailey "Eli" lately... [lol][lol][lol][lol][lol]
