Goodman Heat Pumps
#1
Interested if anyone here has any experience with Goodman brand heat pumps?  My FIL has had one for four years and they have a pretty good warranty as far as I can tell.

Not interested in spending the big $$$ for a Lennox or Trane.

TIA.

I was reading something similar on a consumer review "furnacereview" website and thought after reading all the negatives, that maybe I should read the reviews on Lennox, Trane, etc.  They have similarly POOR comments on them as well...leading me to believe the majority of the people who post the comments are pissed and not a reflection of the overall.

Thinking I might end up going Goodman...if for nothing else, the difference in the warrenty if it had to be used would more than cover any difference in how long (little) these systems last here on the Gulf.

Thanks for the link...glad to hear you're using them too.  Any way to know (other than my FIL used him) if the installer is good?

End of the current story...the repairman (who also sells/installs) looked at it and said $75!  All it needed was a relay.  Still need a new heat pump down the road, but at least it's not this week/month which allows me more time to pay off the truck.
