Yup, the hosting company was hit again and the forum main program files were modified to direct users to a bad website.

http://www.she-geeks.com/2010/10/more-wo...focom-com/

We are just another one of thousands that got hit because of some damn security hole some hacker found. Its not the forum software, nor the passwords. Its the company that hosts the forum. The same security holes are with every hosting company until they get patched. GoDaddy being the largest hosting & domain provider is normally noticed first because they have so many hosted accounts. Or they are a good target to hit.

Short of moving SC to another company (which still might not solve the problem), there is little that can be done except fix any problems ASAP.

I'm sorry for anyone who got nailed by the rouge code/software. If you need help removing it let me know. If you have active antivirus then you really don't have to worry. My Norton blocked it over and over again while I was working on removing the crap from SC.

Thanks,
Eric

Skipper was the one who sent me a text message about it. I started my browser & was hit right away...and I didn't click on anything. Took about 4+ hours of running AV scans to clean it out.
If Sonny had EZ-Pass, he'd have survived that hit...
