Too funny... both Marcelo and I talked about our histories in car audio...

Tim, I would stay away from the oddball Chinese stuff... I would be worried about the quality and support sight unseen.

Like others have said, stick to major manufacuters and you should be fine. You can usually find better prices than Crutch (though their service is excellent) and then buy the kit and harness for about $30 or so. Even if you go gray market, I would rather do that than the Chinese thing... and you can likely find plenty to choose from that will do what you want at your price point.

Best of luck! Smile

Tim, my ears are shot. Too many years of discos (for you non-FOG, clubs) and possibly a few explosives gone awry. Not to mention the thousands of rounds I've put through my guns. Anyway, my point, I can hardly hear the difference between my bose audio and a common car stereo. Having said that, I'd be inclined to go with the Chinese unit. Here's my thoughts. Save a ton of dough and get more features. It cant be that bad. Do your homework and you may end up with a gem. If not, well, maybe 2 years down the road (no pun intended) you replace it with the unit of your dreams and half the work (wiring) will be mostly done for you.
