Elusive Havana's
#1
Out there somewhere there is a source for acquiring Hecho en Havana smokes but I am lost. A friend of mine brought me a Romeo from a trip to Mexico that had Havana on the label and said it was Cuban and it did have a smoother taste than the Romeos I had smoked in the past but is it really worth all of the trouble to try to get the authentic sticks?

You just brought those with you when you made the boat ride. Technically you are allow those.

Asking for sources on a open forum is bad karma. Asking with only 25 post is double bad karma.

wasn't really looking for a source. just noticed some of the posts spoke of cubans and since i haven't bumped into anyone in a trench coat standing in front of the local tobacco shop trying to sell me any contraband i assumed it was a difficult thing to come by. wondering if it is worth the trouble. so much cigar knowledge here and you don't know if you don't ask. didn't mean to offend. i probably couldn't afford them anyway.

Aside from the fact that they are illegal for a US citizen to possess, even outside the country....They're are those that swear by ISOMs & many others that actually prefer cigars from other countries. Oliva, Litto, Padron...just to name a few.

Also...many, many fakes are out there.

No offense I did the same thing when I first started and got blasted. Figured I could pass on the love.Heart Hang around for a while and someone may just bomb you with a few and you can see for yourself. Also go check out the pass thread and maybe you can help someone try something they are looking for then you can post a list yourself.
