Out there somewhere there is a source for acquiring Hecho en Havana smokes but I am lost. A friend of mine brought me a Romeo from a trip to Mexico that had Havana on the label and said it was Cuban and it did have a smoother taste than the Romeos I had smoked in the past but is it really worth all of the trouble to try to get the authentic sticks?

Have no idea what you are talking about!!! Never smoked one and I am definitely NOT smoking a RASS right now!!!

wasn't really looking for a source. just noticed some of the posts spoke of cubans and since i haven't bumped into anyone in a trench coat standing in front of the local tobacco shop trying to sell me any contraband i assumed it was a difficult thing to come by. wondering if it is worth the trouble. so much cigar knowledge here and you don't know if you don't ask. didn't mean to offend. i probably couldn't afford them anyway.

Aside from the fact that they are illegal for a US citizen to possess, even outside the country....They're are those that swear by ISOMs & many others that actually prefer cigars from other countries. Oliva, Litto, Padron...just to name a few.
Also...many, many fakes are out there.
