Cusano 18 Paired Maduro's (sic)

I first tried one of these about two years ago, and despite that it seemed to have crystals on it straight from the cello it was nothing to write home about. In fact, it had a faint mildewy flavor that was not unlike how I would imagine a sweaty gym sock to taste. Not too impressed that apparently not a soul in their company knows the difference between a plural and a possessive/contraction either..Wink

However this 4th while I was digging through sticks for something to smoke while the ribs were smoking, I ran across another I had forgotten about - right around 1 1/2 years old. So what the hell, I fired it up.

I am here to tell you it was like a whole different cigar. Cedar, hints of sweetness, some pleasant earthy and cocoa tastes. Burn was razor sharp - so sharp and even that it almost looked like a drawing of a cigar. Not a note of sweatsock to be found. So if anyone has some of these laying around give 'em some time, you may be pleasantly surprised.

After reading the first half, I was ready to move this review to the "Dog Rockets and Yard Darts" section. Haha, then comes the second half.

I've had a number of cigars that change after aging, and I have to admit that I really like that in a cigar.
