If you have been on the fence for a data phone you better act quick. We saw what they did in the early internet days whit the pay as you go plans. I know I have had a $285 bill because I was hacked from a music download site Dominic had. They didn't care and still dont.

I am confused as to why this is being done. The article says that 98 percent of people use less than 2 GB per month. So, 98% of people are going to save $5 per month. Am i reading this wrong? Is their current unlimited plan not $30? What am I missing here?

Those stats are probably from other phones on their network with internet access, not the iPhones. Otherwise why would they give 98% of their customers a $5 price break.

I think they are also setting us iPhone users up to charge for the laptop tethering which was promised over a year ago. Jailbreaking my phone sounds better and better everyday.

It's the other 2% Ty. AT&T has said all along that 2-5% of the users are responsible for clogging the network. The rest are casual users. I think their plan was to create a plan where 95% of the people will not get an outrageous bill. That 2% in your numbers will have to find some other way to download war & peace 32 times a day. The middle 3% will get screwed.

I never cared for their service anyway.
