Hey Seattle Guys
#1
I'm looking for a recommendation for a hotel on 5/15.
I believe we are docking at Pier 66 which is close to Pikes Market, a tourist area, and downtown. Looking for 4 rooms.
Can you help a bro with any recommendations.

We booked 4 rooms in Vancover using price line:
Got this place:
Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside Hotel1133 West Hastings Street. Vancouver, BC V6E 3T3
For $106.00 a night including tax..

If price is not an issue I would recommend The Edgewater. It is located on Pier 67, and walking distance to most of the tourist stuff. It is a little spendy though.

There is also the Renaissance Seattle Hotel, which is a part of Mariott. It is a little farther away, and quite a bit cheaper than The Edgewater.

I think any one of these first three would be a good choice too. They are all fairly close to the action.

I hope this helps. I was going to be in Vegas the weekend you are coming out, but that has changed. I hope to get to have a cigar with The Mum on my home turf.

Carl, thanks this does help. I'll forward it to my friend who is in charge of booking the hotels for us.

Mrs. Mum and I will be in Seattle early that morning. I think we get off the boat around 8AM or so.
I can have a cigar that afternoon with you / Rusto etc. I know at some point Mr & Mrs. BobGun are coming in town to have dinner with us. Of course you and the old lady can join us and also Rusto. You guys can figure it out and let me know.
I'm open. I will just need to make sure Mrs. Mum is with me for dinner that night. We are open to do tourist stuff that day also. Might as well take advantage of the day..

Jimmie, you got to hit the Market, Pikes Market is amazing. I love that place. I know when I was there last about 6 years ago, right off the Piers are these little all glass restaurants that sell amazing Clam Chowder. If they are still there you should try some...

Pike Place Market is a fun place to go for sure. There is a lot of touristy stuff to do, you wouldnt be able to fit it all in to one day. The Market is worth a visit though. Seattle is a beautiful city, and I hope we get some nice weather while you are here so you can enjoy it.

Hotel wise, I stayed at The Edgewater once for a wedding. It is great. The rooms are built out over the water which was very cool. There are tales of famous rock bands from the sixties and seventies fishing out the windows, and other things.

My wife and I have stayed at the Mayflower Park Hotel downtown a couple times. http://www.mayflowerpark.com/ Close to everything and is directly connected to Westlake Center (Women like to shop?). You can ride the monorail to the Space Needle from there. The problem is "Cruise" season is just starting and finding 4 rooms might not be that easy as all the frickin' tourists come in and book the rooms.... oh, wait a minute....Blush
Freakin' ray of sunshine, ain't I.

Hey Jimmie, my sis mentioned all of the above, plus there is a Hampton Inn near the Space Needle that we have stayed in before, prob too far as it would require monorail going into downtown (right locals?) Smile

The monorail is actually just a Carnival ride from the Worlds Fair that serves almost no purpose. The space needle isnt all that far from the waterfront, but it would be a bit of a walk. I am going to hop on the bike and head downtown in a minute to do a little recon for a good cigar spot.
