Sorry for the MIA. Spring and life is just kickin my a s s. Thanks to all. I did get the best and coolest gift of my life from Dave,Sandi and Zach . They gave me and ipod nano. I have to tell you it's the coolest thing since sliced bread in my life. Since I haven't worked I lost my music in my drive time and have been lost without my music. I started by loading itunes and beed burnning 50 CDs at a sitting. I started with 22 Clapton and no end in site. Now I just have to figure Itunes out. Thanks again.

We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a presumption that once our eyes watered.

Just make sure you are ripping them in MP3 format. If you rip them in the ipod native format M4A, the nonly Apple devices will be able to deal with the music. MP3 then everything will be ok with it. Including any ipod.

John, I don't know what that means. I think I'm in trouble.

ok... what are you using to rip your CD's (convert them to music files on your computer)?
If you are using windows media player, they you're ok. If you are using I-Tunes then it;s probably set to the apple proprietary format M4a. I am not that familiar with itunes but somewhere in there is a setting that says to rip your music in MP3 or M4a. Set it to Mp3. Everything on your ipod will work as normal and now your music will be playable on ANYTHING! (for instance one day you may get some photo software that allows you to make a slide show and you may want to use a song in the background, MP3 will work, M4A will not). |
