Home Depot has a product thats called DampRid. That will suck the humidity out of the air. The active in it is calcium chloride. You may also find it elsewhere too. I just know that they carry it.

Typically you just take them out of your humi, but since it is so humid in your area I'd say toss them in the refridgerator.

You can also just take the beads out, run the hair dryer over them and put them back in. Voila... 65% maintained.

LC stogiechat homebrew gnome Wrote:great thread GD, we're going to be pulling that number here in GA real soon w/ 99% on a daily basis. I like the paper towel idea, as well as the beads. LC , I love the south but this Humidity is insane! So far the paper towels arent working so good so Im gonna try the product tatto - mike is talking about. I have brought the Humidity down to about 70% but I know wood, and its gonna take alot to pull the moisture out of the cigar bxs down to where the bxs and the cigars are at the same humidity. |
