El Mejor Espresso
#1
I won't go into one of my long dissertations here on this review...  Honest...

I pulled this ebony beauty out of my humidor after doing part of the yard work, and getting rained out.  The wrapper was in excellent condition, and a very dark coffee color.  The cigar smelled of espresso, maybe one of the reasons behind the name.  No large veins, no stems in the foot, and no nicks or tears in the wrapper.  It is a box pressed pyramid, and felt very firm.  As I felt of the length of the cigar I had my doubts about the draw, feeling very tightly packed.  This is also my first experience with a box pressed cigar.  I nipped the tip and checked the head.  It was a good cut (once again, with my dull single blade cutter*), very little fraying.  Only a few minor nicks.  Only one large stem, and nothing near like what I found in the Bohemian.

As I figured out my best approach for lighting this box press, I figured I would just roll it as normal.  The foot lit effortlessly.  In no time I had a wonderfully lit cigar.  Back to the draw: What I thought would be tight, I found easy.  It was nothing to get a mouthful of billowy white smoke out of a pull.  The taste was out of this world.  There were hints of coffee, as expected, but it was also rich in an earthy flavor, followed up by a touch of a leathery feel.  As the cigar burnt, the ash formed, but looked fragile.  It wasn't.  The ash held for an inch and a half before I tapped and it thudded to the ground.  The ash was light grey to black in color.  I also noticed brownish highlights in the ash.  Possible dye job on the wrapper?  The flavor intensified somewhat towards the middle, with a coffee taste becoming more noticable.  As I got towards the end of this staggering 6 1/2 inch, 54 ring beauty, I got a bit woosy.  It could be because this was possibly the biggest cigar I've had to date, and I hadn't eaten yet.  The draw never got too hot.

All in all, I will say for the price, this could be an everyday cigar for me, albeit in a smaller size.  Pair this puppy up with a glass of Bailey's on the rocks, or a good coffee, and you have a good time ahead.

I'd have to give it an 8.75 out of 10...

(I tried not to be too long...)

Thanks for the review, someone else did one too here on the old site if I remember correctly,or asked about them.
I liked the taste/flavor and the way it smoked but,my stick left my fingers/lips with fake maduro colors all over them.Like they sprayed it and the dye ran off.

Did you notice your fingers or lips getting the wrapper color on them?
I hear this is a tell tale sign of fake maduro coloring or some shit like that.

Yeah, I did...  I had to wash my hands twice before the brown would come off, although I didn't notice any staining on my lips, which was weird.  I do know I could find nothing on the 'net about the cigar or company, other than that CI sold them.
