I can't stand all of these "special" pies they make... like sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, peppers, olives and anchovies wasn't enough of a choice?
2 of the best pies I have found is one called The Sophia Loren... fresh mozzerella, fresh sauce, garlic and fresh tomato and another called the Traditional with fresh mozz, fresh buffalo mozz, reggiano and fresh basil. Now thats some good eatin'

You have to have a special pizza with fresh sauce and fresh cheese? do they other wise use stale ingrediants?

you're not Italian are you...
Think of bud compared to a micro brew or your home-brewed beer...
In case that didn't work... read on...
Fresh chese means they make their own Mutz form Wey (or is it the curds) There is no comparison (every wonder why you get so thirsty form eating pizza? Well, it's all the salt they put in commercially bought cheese for preservation and to compensate for crappy ingrediants).
Fresh sauce? Please... Most pizzarias make a huge vat of sauce and daily add to it what they used the previous day. Much of the sauce in that "vat" (often a 5 gallon bucket) is leftover from the previous day... except this is perpetual. So... you have molecules of some pretty darn old sauce in there.
Herbs and other oil based goodies, like your cigars, tend to fade in time. Again, they compensate with salt and more salt.
Fresh pizza like Mike is talking about will taste more sweet than salty-tomatoes are a fruit... and if fresh a very sweet fruit (& no, adding sugar isnt going to help-although many of them do this).
Any more questions?

I did 4 years at Domino's in my high school days.
You are all exactly right. Baaaaad.
Although I made some damn fine food there from time to time, anything you order just isn't as good as most other chains, not even considering "real" pizza.

One of my close HS friends father was off the boat Italian, he spent hours cooking, I prefer Americanized Italian food, thins sauce and even thinner crusted pizza doesn't do it for me. And as I said before there is a whoel word out side opf NY city, lots of aoff the boat Italian, Polish, German restauraunt owners inteh area, 1 in particular held monthly "social club" meetings inthe basement if you know what i mean. Buffalo was sa huge melting pot for a lot of immigrants at one time. And the beer comparasion isn't good, there are a lot of poor home brewers around, just because somthign is home made doesn't make it great.
