New York City now has the world's stupidest mayor

You know, I really don't know why you guys bother with elections.  Why not just auction off the mayorship to the highest bidder?  If he wants it bad enough, make him pay for it!

Bloomy spent $150 M of his own money (didnt take any donations) on his 2 mayoral campaigns.  They said it works out to around $100/vote

Yeah, but what did he spend it on?  I'm saying that the money should just go directly into the city's coffers.  The candidates should just put the money in blindly, and the one who put the most in should get the job.  Could that possibly be worse than what you have now?

i have to be honest with you... I think he's doing a pretty good job. The city is running well. I like that he's running it like a big corporation. But then it all matters little to me.

I have to agree with Skip. I don't feel he is doing a bad job, but Rudy was still better.

Also, it was announced recently, that the richest person living in NYC is Mayor Bloomberg at a net worth of $13,000,000,000 (thats 13 billion for you numericaly challenged).

His only saving grace as mayor and as a human being is that his annual salary for being mayor is only $1/ year... along with several of his cronies he gave city jobs to with city salries of also $1 (he pays them from his pocket)
