Nah, he's simply too much fun to poke fun at to use up in 1 big gulp.

You know, I forgot to tell you guys... On the way out we spotted and actually followed a pair of dolphin which helped us locate the fish. Yup, regular mammalian dolphin (not to be confused with the fish called Dolphin). You know, flipper!.

I love the ocean. She is always exciting, or relaxing but never boring. Inviting, gentle, threatening and always ready to let you know who is boss when not offering genuine serenity.

While fishing for the bass we discussed whale sightings, turtle encounters and other extraordinary events only a salt water fisherman could possibly know about.

Nice looking stripers, Skip!

what kind of bait/lures did you use?  umbrella rigs seem to be working well on stripers over here in the Sandy Hook area
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I've tasted Dolphin fish/Mahi-mahi, but how do the dolphins taste.

Mike, this is a 1 or 2 week thing that happens every year. It is my FAVORITE way to catch stripers and these fish here are SMALL! At least for this kind of fishing. My friend 2 days earlier got one that weighed in at 43 pounds. THAT'S A FISH!

Anyway, we fling snag hooks into pods of bunker being balled up by preditory fish. Then you reel it in and put it on a hook with a 3 or 4 oz sinker to get the bunker near the bottom where the baitball is trying to avoid. Then hang on.
