I am so, so very glad that the spring is finally rolling around, I can tell because my humidor is starting to stablize. I had to fight to keep the humidity in the high 60%s these last few months, and now it's finally stabilizing in the ideal ranges. I was also reminded by a friend of mine who has become what we might call a 'social cigar smoker' who sent me a text message "IT'S SMOKING SEASON WOOOO!!".
Just recently found this coffeehouse where Calhoun Grill used to be across from the lake called Rustica. It's finally a no-nonsense non-trendy non-hipster coffee joint, no soy mocha latte half caf whatevers, just real honest coffee, brewed however you want. I've been experimenting with their syphon vacuum pots and Ipanema coffee. [They offer four bean varieties by any of the four brew methods]
I've been enjoying the $2 espressos and fresh baked breads, the only thing that would make it better is of course, a good cigar. While I myself would not normally want to smoke in a restraunt [which is illegal here] I felt really bummed out, because a nice Cameroon would really have made it all picture perfect.
BUMMER!!
